I have always had an interest in understanding how things work, and I enjoy helping others understand complex topics in simple ways. When I am not working on science, I love to play the piano, sing in the A Cappella choir, and teach music. I find that music and science have many similarities, including the importance that a solid understanding can give towards growth

I am currently a student at Hamline University, I appreciate the opportunity I have to learn from great teachers. A special experience for me was being able to spend two summers doing research, learning ways of removing chemicals from the environment using microbes. The last few years I have served as a tutor at Hamline, and I look forward to expanding my tutoring to new communities through the STEM Start program.
