Tutor

Background

I am a senior at Hamline University and I’m majoring in biochemistry and getting a certificate in forensic science. Between my college and high school experiences, I’ve been in a tutor position for 7 years! I enjoy many areas of science including biochemistry, chemistry, biology, and forensic science, but my main passion is research within these specific fields.

Hamline Experience

During my time at Hamline, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to join a chemistry research lab, and have been an active participant for two years now! During this time, I’ve been able to travel nationally to present my research at various conferences. I am also the President of both the biology and chemistry clubs at Hamline, where I help plan engaging activities for all members of the university. In terms of tutoring, I help students in various chemistry, biology, and biochemistry courses ranging from introductory to graduate-level courses. Additionally, I help out in the chemistry department as a laboratory prep assistant where I make various reagents and perform a lot of the behind-the-scenes work to help lab experiences for students go smoothly.

Goals

My goal is to further my education in graduate school and earn a PhD. This will allow me to pursue my passion and interests in research, and continue teaching students as a professor.
